Label Bio: From our humble beginnings in DJ ian's pad, Hotbox RP was concieved. The idea of putting up a small indie label in small city was just rediculous at first, but since our musical directions or taste are in a rediculous manner or genre(if theres even one..) or form, we decided to give it a go. So on the year 2001 the Sicko's of four small indie labels become ONE. Hotbox RP was concieved, consist on four indie labels. nervegasm records. sinsemilla underground soundsystem. grasshut records. aftersix records. The label has been getting alot of attention on the local and international underground or indie scene. Some of the artist where featured on "Indieground" radio shows, local and international indie and music magazines and zines. From the very beginning, our belief in the creative abilities of the artists and their need to expand the limits of their art form took precedence over a strict adherence to any narrowly defined musical idiom. As a result, our label's natural progression has been to release albums not only in Electronica,but also in the fields of Experimental music, Blips, Drill, Breaksbeat, Jungle, illbient, Nujazz, IDM and everything or anything that comes up to our artist mind and inbetween. This philosophy has earned Hotbox RP a reputation for excellence not only through releases, but also through recordings of the new generation of artists who are bringing these uniquely Local art forms into the 21st century and beyond.
